About the role
In response to increasing demand for our services, we are seeking a Senior Advisor (Data Governance) to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive data governance frameworks. This role is crucial for enhancing data quality and consistency, ensuring robust data management practices, and supporting our clients’ strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Master Data Governance Development: Oversee the development and implementation of master data governance models, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and quality across client organizations.
- Policy and Standards Development: Formulate and uphold data governance policies and standards to integrate seamlessly into company operations and support business objectives.
- Data Quality Control: Monitor data quality metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance data collection and management processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to define data governance priorities and align with organizational data practices and business goals.
- Training and Support: Lead training sessions and provide ongoing support to business users, promoting understanding and adherence to data governance policies and procedures.
- Change Management: Spearhead change management initiatives related to data governance, fostering organizational adaptation and buy-in.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and internal policies, assessing and mitigating risks related to data management.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Expert knowledge in data governance frameworks, data quality management, and compliance with data protection laws.
- Proficient with master data management (MDM) systems and data governance tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications in data management or governance (e.g., CDMP, CIMP) are highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in data governance or data management, preferably in consultancy or a similar industry setting.
