At Data Design, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud-Native Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage complex, high-performance network systems across hybrid cloud environments.
About the role
As a Cloud-Native Platform Engineer, you will be part of a specialized team building next-generation orchestration, assurance, and inventory systems. You will lead the deployment and integration of microservices-based applications, work across diverse network domains, and support critical migrations from legacy to cloud-native environments.
You’ll work in a global, cross-functional environment, collaborating with product teams and network specialists to enable scalable, observable, and efficient infrastructure systems.
What You’ll Need
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native deployments over AWS, OpenStack, OCP, or NCS.
- Strong expertise in Linux administration in virtualized and containerized environments.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with data formats like YAML, XML, JSON.
- Working experience in at least one or more of the following network domains: RAN, Mobile Core, IP/MPLS, Optical, VNF/CNF, Fixed Networks.
- Strong scripting and development skills in Java, jQuery, and Python.
- Experience working with telemetry tools (OpenSearch/Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus) and database stacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy SDK-driven, cloud-native applications across platforms like AWS, OpenStack, OCP, or NCS.
- Work across orchestration, assurance, fulfillment, and inventory domains, including support for legacy inventory data migrations (e.g., SRI to UIV).
- Build and manage Kafka, REST API-based microservices, and telemetry stacks using OpenSearch/Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Deploy and scale solutions across AnyCloud and VMware environments, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Configure and operate diverse databases: Graph DB, in-memory DB, time-series DB, and relational DB systems.
- Develop and troubleshoot platform applications using Java, jQuery, Python, YAML, and scripting tools.
